Art

When you're an artist, you create self expression. What makes you a true artist is releasing your self expression to the public. The public means spectators, fans, and critics. The feedback you get will never always be what you want, but it will be the meaning of art. Once you release you creation, it is no longer yours. It is open to the public. It is theirs. They are free to comment and criticize however they want because you gave them the opportunity. That is not bad, its very good actually. If you didn't, your creation wouldn't be considered art. What we consider art is beauty and personal. Which is good. For you. When you create something for one purpose only, you are limiting the advanced creativity of others. When you announce and enforce your purpose for your creation, you are killing any further artistic credibility. You are limiting yourself and the public. Then, your creation is no longer art. It is merely self expression with no recognition and no purpose at all.
